Often called ‘Vegas’ by her teammates, this two-time Olympian has lived the ‘everyday’ life as an athlete training and working. Harrigan is a full-time security supervisor at the Bellagio Las Vegas.
Harrigan began softball like many others when her parents coached her as a child. They youngest of five kids, the 6′1″ left later headed to UNLV where she shattered virtually every pitching record and led the Rebels to two berths in to the Women’s College World Series.
Harrigan was UNLV’s top female athlete in 1992 and had her jersey retired in 1998. She has accumulated more than a dozen international gold medals with the U.S. national team.
Harrigan pitched seven scoreless innings in a start against Taiwan in the 1996 Olympics and left Atlanta with a gold medal. Harrigan returned to the Olympics in 2000 in Sydney.
